SAO Network Team Developed a Web3 Personal Card Product “X-Card” at SWF2023 Hackathon

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA / August 4, 2023 / — The SAO Network Team participated in the Hackathon of the “Seoul Web 3.0 Festival 2023” (SWF2023), which was officially held by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Seoul Design Foundation, and Baobab Partners from July 31 to August 2. The 3-day Hackathon, start-up Demo Day, and NFT Exhibition were all held during SWF2023.

SAO network

The Hackathon was a grand Web3 gathering that brought together over 200 participants, including software developers, product managers, and designers. These participants formed about 60 teams to develop application prototypes within a 72-hour period.

Among three topics of the Hachathon, SAO Network team chose to build under the topic of Web3 Mass Adoption. Chase Wang, the CTO of SAO Network, explained the design philosophy of their work, “We were inspired by the famous social networking theory of Six Degrees of Separation so that we developed a Web3 personal card product named X-Card to provide social connections showing as a social graph between user’s Soul-bound NFTs and utilize SAO Network’s access control & SAO DID solutions to protect user’s data privacy at the same time.”

SAO Network, developed by Hedra Labs, is a permissionless open DeStorage network for Web3. Composed of a consensus layer, a storage layer, and a computation layer, SAO Network offers a decentralized data storage and access protocol based on Cosmos SDK and IPFS. The vision of the team is to facilitate the mass adoption of Web3 data storage and provide data services for various applications and users in Web3.
